Race For The Cure 09

Oct 18th, 2009....Sweet 16 of the Arkansas Susan G Komen for the Cure Race
The race was so much fun!!! Thanks first off to Jessica's sis-in-law for letting us stay at her apartment. She has a wonderful place in a great location....right across the river from where we needed to be. We walked the 5K with no problems. There were 45,000+ ladies registered to walk that morning....and yes it's the only race still ALL women and the 4th largest race in the world. Pink was everywhere. The streets were lined with bands, men cheering us on and even the LR news stations. It was just so much fun and we can't wait for it next year.
After the race Jessica, Monica and I had a good day eating lunch and shopping in Little Rock, kid free for me :). I think in all the whole day walking from the apartment and back and the 5K and shopping I walked about 5 miles Saturday.

Starting off....the race started at 8 but we didn't start walking until 8:20ish.....the runners at the beginning has already finished the 5k before we started :). Thats how many people there was.
